A delegation from the University of Zakho participated in the Third Conference of the project entitled " Qualifications for Inclusive Education in Iraq" organized by the University of Oldenburg and the University of Vechta in Istanbul / Turkey from 1st Dec. to 4th Dec. 2019. The conference took place in Istanbul with the five participated universities from Kurdistan Region and Iraq. Participants from the University of Zakho consisted of Asst. Prof. Dr. Lazgeen A.Jameel-President of the University of Zakho, Mr. Khorsheed Mohammed Rasheed Ahmed-member of the Department of English language/ Faculty of Humanities, and Ms. Kajeen Husein Karo from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education.
The agenda of the conference tackled the presentations and the future plan of the next conferences and tasks of the same project. It also dealt with the useful discussion about the implementation of the conception of the Inclusive and Special Needs Education, the responsible tasks of headmasters of elementary schools in Iraq and Kurdistan Region which were presented by the participants from each university, and planning of the next conference themes with the basic conceptions for next year. The focus of the other part of the conference was on the evaluation of the summer conference that was held in Aug 2019 in Germany.
It is worth mentioning that the project is funded by the German DAAD organization in which it supports the project for beneficial cooperation between all the mentioned universities in the future.
